Thanks to an innovation brought in by Safaricom, AliExpress customers within Kenya can now quickly pay for goods and shopping, in general, using M-Pesa wallet. This is following a business partnership deal with Safaricom and financial giant Ant financial, which is actually the world’s largest fintech service provider as of 2019. You can now enjoy worldwide shopping just like in the US and other parts of the world. In this post, I will take you through the process of shopping on Aliexpress using Mpesa.

The partnership between the two tech platforms comes just five months later, following Safaricom announcing its M-Pesa global leadership. The move essentially targets micro-traders in Kenya who source for stock and other merchandise from different manufacturers in China.
