How To Apply For EACC Clearance Certificate

To apply for EACC clearance certificate from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) in Kenya, you must complete a Self-Declaration Form. As of 2026, the process has been automated through the Adili Online platform, though manual submission remains an option at designated offices.

Application Process

The EACC does not issue a physical certificate to the applicant. Instead, they provide a confidential report directly to the requesting employer or agency.

  1. Online Registration: Visit the Adili Online portal and create an account using your National ID and KRA PIN.
  2. Fill the Form: Complete the digital Self-Declaration Form, providing details about your education, employment history, and personal integrity.
  3. Commissioning: After filling the form online, you must download and print .The form must be signed and witnessed by a Commissioner for Oaths or a Magistrate.
  4. Submission:
    • Online: Scan and upload the commissioned form back to your Adili profile.
    • Manual: Alternatively, drop two copies of the completed form at EACC Head Office (Integrity Centre), any EACC Regional Office (Mombasa, Kisumu, Eldoret, Nyeri, Garissa), or at Huduma Centre

  1. Acknowledgment: Once submitted, you will receive an automatic acknowledgment receipt, which serves as proof of application for your employer.

Required Documents

Ensure you have the following ready to attach or upload:

  • Copy of National ID or Passport.
  • Copy of KRA PIN Certificate.
  • Copies of Academic Certificates (High School, Diploma, Degree).

Context & Cost

  • Fees: The EACC does not charge any fees for this service. However, you will incur a fee from the Commissioner for Oaths for witnessing and stamping the document.
  • Purpose: Clearance is typically required for individuals seeking public office, political candidacy, or employment in the public sector.
  • Legal Warning: Providing false information on this form is a criminal offense under the Leadership and Integrity Act, 2012, punishable by a fine of up to Kshs 5 million or 5 years’ imprisonment
