How to develop the ultimate butt.

The fascination of the booty as a beauty symbols is shared the world over. A good booty will accentuate the shapely figure of a woman and nothing else says delicious than this. In deed the word bootylicious was coined to describe pop star and media personality Beyonce’s backside.
Meanwhile, Kim Kardashian, star of the reality show, Keeping up with the Kardashian’s has made a career out of hers, while Jennifer Lopez was once rumored to have insured her butt for a $1 million!
Whether you like it or not the size and shape of your butt sends a clear message to others about your physical condition and contributes a great deal to your sexual attractiveness.
Although it is such a prominent part of the human anatomy, it’s easy to overlook the fact that the buttocks perform several very important muscular functions. It follows, then, that the more you understand the way they are structured and function; the more likely you are to shape them successfully.
Far from being just twin lumps of fat designed to cushion your body, the buttocks are actually among the most powerful muscles groups in the body. There are three of them; the gluteus maximus, the gluteus medius and the gluteus minimus. Of these the Gluteus Maximus forms the largest and most prominent part of your butt. Consequently, it must be at the center of any meaningful attempt to tone your back side, but first a word about the other two muscles.
The gluteus medius is located near your hip and lies under the gluteus maximus. Every time you take a step forward, this muscle contracts to hold your pelvis upright. Underneath it lies the gluteus minimus. These muscles work together to rotate your hips inwards, as happens when you bring your knees together.
And talking of hips, your hip joint is the main reason you have butt muscles at all. This is the joint where your thigh bone (or femur) attaches to your pelvis.
The body is a mechanical structure and something has to move your hip joint- a responsibility that falls squarely on your butt muscles. This is an important point to note because knowing how your butt muscles move your hip joint will guide you in performing the proper movements to shape your butt.
Your butt muscles extend your hip joint; keep that in mind even if you don’t understand it yet! Here is how it works; your hip joint belongs to a class of joints known as ball-and-socket joints, whose design allows them to move in several different directions.
The hip extension
Stand up straight and pull your left knee up against your chest; this movement is called hip flexion. Now drop that left knee and push it backwards beyond the right knee; this movement is called hip extension.
If you think this is way too easy, you are right. It is, and that’s the reason so many of us are literally spilling out of our trousers. We don’t exercise these muscles enough to keep them toned and shapely.
Developing your butt muscles plays an important part in creating the ultimate butt. This can be easily achieved through simple exercises like lunges, squats, pelvic raises on the swiss ball or even simple things like running up an incline. However, one thing you must keep in mind is that, even superbly developed muscles lose their visual appeal if they are coated in a thick layer of fat.
As you well know your butt area happens to be the site of your body’s fat reserves. The best way to get over this hurdle is low intensity, longer duration aerobic exercises, such as slow jogging, cycling, or even walking for anything between 30 minutes to an hour. Anything else, especially attempting to spot reduce fat off your butt will take you nowhere. You can only lose fat systematically all over your body at the same time. So there you have it, go get yourself a bootylicious butt and give Beyonce a run for her money!
